adidas continues to celebrate the inaugural season of the Brooklyn Nets with the release of a capsule collection that includes t-shirts, a crew neck sweatshirt and starter jacket all with official NBA logo signoff. The crew neck is so official Jay Z put Brooklyn on his back and rocked it to the Nets home opener. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of the gear along with a limited edition doormat. On Tuesday night photographer and friend to the site Wyatt Neumann held the opening night of his exhibit “Deeds Are Greater Than Words” at Gallery Bar NYC. The photos chronicle his journeys and adventures throughout the good ol’ U.S of A. The exhibit runs for the next two weeks so if you’re in the area make sure to check it out.

This past Wednesday night, Gillette and TheUrbanDaily teamed up for an event called the G-List, a celebration of the style and influence of Black men and all people with swagger. The night started off at Frank’s Chop Shop with a private event for VIP’s to enjoy a personalized grooming experience at New York City’s best barber shop. After that the festivities moved over to the Thompson Hotel’s Above Allen lounge for an open bar party with DJ D-Nice killing it on the wheels of steel. Frank’s Chops also installed a custom barber chair at the venue for attendees who wanted to get a quick shape-up but couldn’t make it to the pre-party. Guests included Eva Rebek, Tim Brodhagen, Alex Corporan, J.Papa, 77Klash, Michael Cohen, Charlamagne Tha God, Datwon Thomas, Nigel Talley, Tony Touch, DJ Soul, MarLen Diaz and many more. Ricky Powell’s 50th Bday Solo Show After Party!

Last night the TheGoodlife! murdered it with a legendary 50th birthday celebration for one of New York City’s most prolific street photographers, Ricky Powell. The party started at Ms Lilly’s Variety with a solo photo exhibition featuring 30 years of Ricky’s work along with all the patties & Heineken you could consume and then shifted gears for some late night debauchery at The Box. Converse DEFCON & ProLeather 2K11 Launch Party

Last week Converse officially debuted the DEFCON and Pro Leather 2K11 performance basketball shoes with a launch event held at Cedar Lake Studios in New York City. Before jumping on the tables Bobbito Garcia hosted the event with Converse athletes Chris Andersen of the Denver Nuggets, Lou Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Kyle Korver of the Chicago Bulls fielding questions.
