Rock the Bells in San Bernardino, CA
Rock the Bells just stormed through San Bernardino, CA this past weekend for two days and I was lucky enough to attend this amazing festival. The line-up was super stacked with this years theme of “Old School and New School” hip-hop. Everyone from Big Daddy Kane, KRS-ONE, Naughty by Nature, Prodigy, Ice Cube, Method Man and Redman and more rocked the old school tip and then you have the fresh arrivals of Kid Cudi, 2 Chains, Wiz Khalifa etc. on the other hand. Shit was off the hook.
There were three stages all going on at the same time, so you had to pick-and-choose your battles of who you wanted to hear and being in San Bernardino in the hottest month of the year was no easy task to stay away from the heat, but the Guerrilla Union crew knew what was up and had plenty of misters and water hoses spraying the crowd to keep everyone at a comfortable level. I could point-out highlights, but that wouldn’t do this festival justice as everyone there fucked it up. Rock the Bells has two more stops, one this weekend in Mountain View, CA and another the following weekend in Holmdel, NJ which is a short one hour drive from Manhattan. You definitely need to catch this festival if you have a chance. A huge thank you to the Guerrilla Union crew for letting me be a part of this experience, I can’t wait for next year. Check photos from my trip below.
Common ripped it up pretty hard.
