Flotography To Your Face

First off, I must sound like a redundant asshole every-time I ever apologize for not posting on my column that much lately. Again, sorry Timbo and Rad Collector fans, but fuck it, I have been busy as hell trying to kill it at life and can’t say it won’t happen again. This year has been interesting to say the least. I’ve made some career moves, took some time off to enjoy life with my midgets, did everything I could to not get fat by going to the gym, even though my size 1 girlfriend eats enough snacks to let the Keebler Elves retire early, and just took a step back from everything I have done for the last 13 years of my life to review and reorganize my direction. Don’t worry, it’s not a midlife crisis, but I have definitely reorganized how I look at things in general. To be honest, I am happier and more content with my life than I have ever been and now I am ready to roll again. Same goes for my homie, Flo. Like me, he’s been in the skate game for more than a few years and is now taking a step back to reorganize his life. He’s creating his own direction and not following what others have created. You have to respect the hell out of that, right?!

Throughout all of his years working in this adult playground we call skateboarding, Flo has silently documented most of his moments and is dropping his first-ever photo show this next Friday, October 14th in Seal Beach, CA at Golden State Goods. The show entitled Something Went Wrong will benefit Giving Children Hope to help fight hunger in East Africa. There is a major humanitarian crisis in countries like Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan, caused by one of the worst droughts in 60 years in this region and Flo hopes to raise money from his show so ‘Giving Children Hope’ can buy more food, medicines and medical supplies to help save lives.

If you’re around, come by for a few beers with Flo to check out his masterpieces and fresh tunes by DJ Wade. There will be a bunch of photos on display and for sale along with raffles for prizes from Volcom, Vans and Flip Skateboards. If you roll, be sure to congratulate Flo on having to biggest balls to do what most will never do, try to make it on their own.

If you want a piece of what Flo’s been doing, here is a snip-it of how crazy this son-of-a-bitch really is!
