My good friend Akintola Hanif is one of those artist that takes his camera and vision to show us the America that a majority of us have no clue about. I came across his work a few years ago and was moved by one photograph that became my first art purchase. Akintola’s unique approach to documenting the urban landscape is one that is very riveting and takes on his subjects to give us a closer look to life and death in the inner city. May 21 will be the launch of HYCIDE magazine.
