MetroPCS x tokidoki Launch Party

MetroPCS and tokidoki had a launch party for their new collabo project, the  Huawei M835 Sanctioned by tokidoki. When I arrived I was bombarded by all this cute imagery as I walked through the store front on Melrose. They had set up a circus tent thingy in the back lot and that’s where all the festivities took place. DJ Them Jeans seemed to know exactly how to rock the crowd, as he played solid hip-hop joints mixed in with some alternative/dance/mash-up type selections. As the sliders, mini tacos and the other assorted trays circulated amongst the crowd, the bar kept everyone’s whistle wet with these awesome, yummy vodka-based cocktails. Then, all of a sudden, alterna-indie rap dudes, Das Racist tore the tent down with their odd-ball stylings and catchy hooks about Michael Jackson being a millionaire or something like that. I can’t really remember… The event was very cute and fun though, and another cool thing is that both companies donated to the Marley Missions charity 1love.org which hooks up random acts of kindness all over the globe.
