Being part of a passionate movement.

Most skateboarders, surfers and snowboarders that I am friends with are extremely passionate and involved in their chosen discipline. Not only are they involved on the board but they are part of the fabric that embodies all aspects of supporting and embracing the longevity of what they are so passionate about. When a member of the community is no longer with us, we as a group, feel a void and replace that void in our own unique and special way. It’s never hard to forget but its always best to make sure others remember, and that others are introduced to what that person achieved for experience to be passed on.

With all this said I am writing about my friend Harold Hunter who so many in the skateboard community knew and loved. I work as a volunteer for the Harold Hunter Foundation and also help promote the organization 24/7. The foundation is a great cause and means a lot to me and my friends he left behind. We host several events a year to help bring awareness to and support for our main goal, which is keeping Harold’s name and legacy alive while sending under-privileged skaters like Harold to amazing skateboard facilities; such opportunities that would have brought Harold through. This week will be my friends’ would-be 40th birthday and we as the skateboard community will be celebrating this joyful event! Friends and colleagues will get together and share memories through photography, video and intimate stories. Please join us in our mission for our friend, Harold Hunter.

If you can’t be there please share your memories of Harold with us. We also have a great way for you to be a part in helping the HHF with so many amazing tools like the power of the skateboard! The HHF has created a great way to support and be a part of what we all love and practice.
HHF Products available at SHUT. All proceeds of the sales go straight to the HHF.
