100 Mile Bicycle Ride in Honor of 9.11

This past Sunday marked the 10th Anniversary of The 9.11 Attack on New York City’s World Trade Towers. Everybody has their way of remembering and honoring this great loss many New Yorkers suffered. Myself and 35 friends gathered for the 2nd Annual 100 Mile Bicycle Ride. We met up in the LES and then had a sorta plan mapped out all over Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan ( Sorry Staten Island ). Riding in and out of traffic with such a powerful and enthusiastic crew was exhilarating. We hit up some of the best sites and tastes New York has to offer. I would like to congratulate all who participated in the ride and hope to see you on the bike path and city streets soon. And a big thanks to Raleigh Cycles for the support!
I managed to take 322 photos, mostly while cycling but here are 40 or so of my favorite pics…click read more and Enjoy!

The Outlier Slim Dungarees

Seriously, “Best Pants Ever.” I have clocked miles on the bike, skateboarding and widin’ out in these classic pants. The look and feel is like no other pants I have worn. Lightweight, gusseted crotch, curved waistband and reverse back yoke ensure you can move freely through any situation. These pants are truly universal. You can rock them all day in the NYC’s hot traffic and then slip right into some socialista spot looking sharp. This amazing technology is brought to you by Outlier out of Brooklyn, New York. Killing it right here in the ultimate testing ground for fashion and function and they are executing it in both departments. Thank you for being so dope! Be sure to check out Outlier’s full line and awesome website. For more looks read more.

Hey guys, just wanted to shoot out a quick reminder about the New Amsterdam Bike Show, coming up tomorrow! Chris Speyer, VP of Raleigh America and President of the BSPA will be speaking at 3pm as a part of the Bikelandia series, where he will discuss our upcoming launch of a new Raleigh brain-child website called MyCyclingEvent. This is a new cause-ride initiative for us, where users can upload content on charity rides around the country, or find rides that Raleigh is already participating in, along with other nutritional tips, expert advice, community forums, etc. If you make it to anything, I’d love to have you at this!
Other things to be around for – beer will start flowing at 1pm, coffee and food will be served all day, and Raleigh be giving away a bike every two hours, starting at noon. If you miss out on those, you’ll have plenty of other chances to get free product, check out new bikes from upcoming lines, and meet with other passionate bikers who want to see cycling integrated into our culture as much as cars. Also, there is about to be a raging after party at the Chrome store…don’t miss out.

Raleigh has made a quick light weight commuter cycle that is fashionable and functional while looking sharp and sleek. Handles amazing in the rain and sleet. Over the Borough bridges and thru the city traffic. It’s classic looks are getting compliments from all bike lovers young and old. When I was a kid my folks had matching Raleigh’s that looked just like this one…”Classic!”
Thank you Bespoke Bicycle Shop for assembling and customizing it to perfection. Click read more for photos and check out how they get bikes up from the basement…

On my way to work I went out of my way to go skate threw the Brooklyn Banks. Its crazy to think that it could possibly be SHUT down for 4 fucking years…
THIS Saturday at 1pm (weather permitting)
Members of the Parkour, Skateboarding, BMX Biking meet
to demonstrate their desire to keep Brooklyn Banks open.
Fuel TV will be there to do a little piece on it with the help of New York City’s one and only, Rodney Torres! And expect to see many more of NYC’s top skaters out supporting this monumental Skate Spot.
