This after work happy hour catered to our friends and family of the two brands was shared with a spectacular view and amazing cocktails thanks to the folks at Charged.FM, PBR and Ilegal Mezcal.

Chrome Industries and SHUT Skateboards have paired up to bring a gallery show and party celebrating the history of New York skateboarding. SHUT founder and skateboarder Rodney Smith will be showing a curated sample of his vast collection of iconic skateboards and photo memorabilia. Chrome Industries will be releasing five custom Barrage backpacks inspired by five iconic SHUT Skateboards to be raffled off at the end of the night. Beer provided by Pabst Blue Ribbon. SHUT X The Meatball Shop “Grinder’ deck Party Recap! When you serve up amazing Meatballs, PBR Beer, Kool Beats by DJ Smoke LES, Fred Water and 200 New Yorkers on a closed block… you’re gonna have a BLOW OUT Block PARTY! People were dancing, skateboarding and getting their grub & buzz on in the streets of the Lower East Side. The Meatball Shop and SHUT skateboards also showcased their new deck called the “Grinder”. The shape of the deck was architected by SHUT’s Mat Terwilliger and the art work was done by SHUT Fam Steve Ellis. His work will be shown at SHUT Gallery for another month. Stay tuned for closing party details!

SHUT Skateboards and the The Meatball Shop have collaborated yet once again with artist Steve Ellis. This unique deck called “The Grinder” is not only a great graphic but on one of SHUT Skateboard’s most popular shapes architected by SHUT’s very own Mat Terwilliger. This project embraces what, why and how collaboration are conceived.
Everyone involved are all homies and that’s what it’s all about. So if you are in the Lower East Side on Sunday the 3rd…tomorrow. Come join SHUT, Steve Ellis and The Meatball doods to check out the deck and the people that made it happen. Oh and they will be serving Meatballs, Fred Water and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beers from 3-5pm.

“ADULT GO SKATEBOARDING DAY” this Saturday! When GSD was started by “DON BROWN IN 2013″ it was on some sort of of mass critical reckless abandonment and then corporate turned it into “Go Watch Skate Pros’s”…LAME
For the last 3 years in New York City GSD has taken on it’s own identity to help of a few purist. It happens once a year on the summer solstice and its Global. It’s what you make of it and as long as your skateboarding for life/everyday it’s what you want it to be.
