So I recently went home to vancouver for a mini visit to see the moms and bro and some close friends.Van is cracking and a bunch of my friends are right at the heart of whats hip and fresh up there.One is none other than the President of ALIFE footwear and former GIRL pro Tony Ferguson.I’ve Known Tony for prob 20 years but I wouldn’t say we were super close but we have always had a certain report with each other and have remained buds during that whole time. I’m guaranteed a good belly laugh when we catch up tho and this time was no different! I knew he was involved somehow with the Alife store in Vancouver but I had no idea he was running ALIFE shoe’s! Stoked he has paved his own way and is killing it with his new path in life….EH!!!

So the homie’s from Vancouver are having a screening of there full length movie MACHOTAILDROP here in the southlands at the LA skate/film festival this week! check out the flyer for show times…

TEE OFF!!!

So my good friend Dave England invited me out to the shoot for Weezer’s new Music Video “memories” Featuring the Jackass Crew!!! It seems like every other day I’m getting invited back to the legendary PINK MOTEL POOL and I pray the Invites keep coming! I love that place! If your shooting anything in a pool you better have LORD SALBA in the mix and he was shredding the paint off that pool!!! Jeff Tremaine is the Man behind everything RAD on MTV and he was once again the mastermind behind this shoot throwing the cast members in and out of all the scenes. Im not the strongest pool skater but none the less had a blast carving that place with Wee Man, Steve-O, and Dave England. Dave surprised the hell out of me with his pool skills! He RIPS!! It was also cool to see street dog Greg Lutzka tearing the pool a new arse!! Brian Patch was BLASTING airs like he was on a vert ramp and Nitro Circus stuntman Andy Bell was ripping around the pool on an electric motor bike.The Weezer guys are such cool dudes and one of them was even carving the pool as well!! Im feeling the burn in my legs today but i must say that was the most fun I’ve had on a music video in a long time! thanks again Dave and Jeff and all the cast and skaters. Im just wondering and waiting for the next call to get to go skate that awesome pool…



























JACKASS 3D!!!

It seems like Summer has finally decided to arrive here in Los Angeles! Sure there was a little heat wave at the start of june but its halfway through august and the last 2 month’s have been untypically mild to say the least.Our new house has no air-conditioning so we rely on Fans and a nice breeze to keep the house cool. Seeing how I’ve had the Fans Cranked I decided to do a search for cool fans.Nothing beat’s an old school fan and I was very surprised when I Googled Fan pics,retro fan pics,cool fan pics etc. etc. that Air Jordan sneakers would pop up? Now Im a huge fan of MJ and Retro Jordans but how does Google know that???

Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, Chaz Ortiz, Sean malto, Tommy Sandavol and Chris Cole as a tie breaker for my STREET LEAUGE FANTASY SKATEBOARD LINEUP. I got introduced to Fantasy Football about two years ago and it kinda changed my life. Its funny because my wife Shar mentioned I should play and I’m pretty sure she now regrets that decision! I was on the waiver wires trying to make trades it consumed my life.Now it looks like Rob Dyrdek Bill My Parents and the Street League have started there own Fantasy Skateboard League.Im feeling pretty confident in the Team and also chose Bill My Parents Team Member Ryan Sheckler #1 overall.Having recently watched Sheck’s skate I feel his time is gonna come as far as contest results go.Obviously P-Rod #2 and then go with my family member on DC shoes Chaz Ortiz #3 Then smooth moves himself “Killa K” Sean Malto #4 and to round it out Chula Vista’s Finest Tommy Sandoval #5 and to put a cherry on top Chris Cole as my Tiebreaker selection! I don’t even know what that means but to not put Cole on your team is plain stupid! I probably should have read the rules before I signed up but I had caught S.L.F.S.L. Fever and didn’t want to miss the boat!!!

Well it seems like my blog rate has slowed down dramatically over the past several weeks? It could be due to the amount of late nights I’ve been spending in the studio working on my new album or maybe it’s just summer and the kids want to be outside as much as possible? It feels like everything in life has its spurts and down time so its natural that inspiration takes a break once in awhile. It’s not like I haven’t been thinking of things to blog about.I have a bunch of folders with images I’ve researched I just haven’t finished the process? But sometimes too much is not enough and once in awhile a little goes a long way. I don’t know why I woke up early with the inspiration to write something? but I’m stoked to be using that part of my brain again! It’s awesome to be able to instantly bring things to life but its also great to let things take time and simmer a bit! I don’t recall why i started a search for model cars? or how random pics of scantily dressed women leaning on cars showed up in that google search either? But I do know how cool it was to build models when i was a kid. It was a painstaking process that would have you at wit’s end trying to figure out all those little pieces and where they go? How many kids these day’s still make models? I love technology but i believe that the youth is missing out on learning patience and diligence by not having the passion to actually use there hands to build something on there own? Whatever the case I loved building these things and maybe this post will inspire me to stay focused on finishing projects cause it’s always rad to sit back and admire what you have created!!!

Its funny to me how closely connected we are to each other with out even knowing? 3 degrees of seperation, small world etc. etc. it really is though. Like when I linked up with T-Nut from the pricks.We had never met before but have so many friends in common its crazy that we hadn’t met earlier? well it happened to me again the other night while i was at a dyrdek event!! I was hanging out and a guy came up to me and asked where I got my good wood piece from? and What i do for a living? Well I said I’m a blogger at RAD COLLECTOR and I had gotten the good wood from my friend Timbo. It seems Anton (the guy inquiring) was Tim’s old room mate in NYC!! crazy right? I then fire back and ask him what he does for work and he say’s he works for FRANK magazine. So I ask him if he knows Dan the reality editor at Frank. He’s like “that’s my boss!” and then asks how I know Dan? I say I’m really good Friends with his sister Nony from Petrozillia via my wife Shar Michelle. He then tells me he Loves Nony and that he was just at her Birthday party a couple nights ago! That’s funny…. SO WAS I!!!! I don’t know if we just missed each other or if he was there the whole time? I know these things happen a lot but it seems like they are happening more and more frequently? at least for me anyways. I was First introduced to this Medicine in Bangkok in around 1994 when I was living with my good friend Johan who had been in Thailand for several years. We had gone to a Thai Boxing match and this logo of two bulls was all over the place! I asked johan what this logo was and he informed me it was called Krating Daeng and it was basically liquid speed! I really wanted to try it and Johan told me not to cause it was highly addictive and people get strung out on it? I guess thai truck drivers would stay up for weeks at a time on it so they could make more money which in most cases ended in tragedy when the drivers would get involved in horrible crashes cause they just passed out at the wheel. I was living there for almost 4 months when i finally decided i needed to try this liquid speed! Like an idiot instead of drinking just one i decided to pound two? bad call!! unlike the stock red bull you get over here this stuff was def. laced with something cause I was sweating balls my heart was going nuts and i felt like a tweaker on Hollywood blvd. I guess Johan was right and I should have listened to his warning? It was crazy when I first saw Red Bull in America and wondered how they could legally sell it over here. Well its def. not the same ingredients that the O.G. Krating Daeng i had in Thailand cause I can drink like 3 of those and the effect is nothing like what i had experienced in Bangkok!!!

There’s nothing like sliding down on water during a super hot day.I remember we used to take a huge tarp and put it on a slight incline and get out the hose and slip n slide for hours and hours! Ever wonder who was the first to slide down on some water? I’m pretty sure who ever was the first probably didn’t think he would invent a billion dollar industry? In reality there was probably no such thing as money either! Natural rock slides are the first real water park and our ancestors probably had a blast sliding down them on hot summer day thousands of years ago. Now at the turn of this century when fun parks started popping up the first water ride was introduced. It was more of a sled that shot down a steep incline and shot across a pool of water than the monsters we know as water parks today. Motorized slides full loops they are taking that simple concept of sliding into a pool of water into another realm.But seriously, nothing beats a perfect natural rock slide…
