Sometimes things just happen and the fact I got to spend three days gifting Native shoes to some of the Top Athletes in the world is Insane!!! If you’ve read some of my blog posts on Radcollector.com you might have noticed i’m a Mega Jock in a crippled skater/snowboarders body. I played Team sports all the way up to my senior year in highschool so when an opportunity arose to get into the ESPY gifting suite with Native I jumped at the chance! Walking into the W hotel and the first person I see is Vikings RB Adrian Peterson I knew I was heading into Sports Fan Nirvana! I want to thank Nino from FLY SOCIETY for introducing me to Robert Parr who hooked the whole deal up!! I couldn’t believe how nice all these Superstars where? I guess there like everyone else but with MILLIONS in the bank! The Highlight was def. meeting Boston Bruins Goalie TIM THOMAS who I told to leave when he entered the room! (I am a die hard Canucks fan!) I was just kidding…..kinda. I wanted to not like him for single handily crushing my dreams in the Stanly Cup Finals but The guy was one of the nicest people I have ever met! He even let me get him in a choke hold for a pic then I let him return the favor by punching me in the face with an upper cut just like he did to all of Canucks Nation! The next Highlight was meeting Collegiate Wrestling champ Anthony Robles who was born with one leg! I never met a more inspirational person in my life. He is a BEAST!!! I also admitted my man crush on Tim Tebow to his O-line who got a good laugh out of it! My new best Bud Marshawn Lynch and I Got BUCK! JESUS was in the Building! Ray Allen even tho you play for the Celtics I have mad love for your Sonic roots! Actor from the Blind Side Quinton Aaron sorry Native doesn’t make a 22 dbl wide shoe for you but thanks for taking the pic anyways! Jason Kidd you are the MAN!!!! all the Mav’s that came thru you guys were all champs just like all the Green Bay packers! I better stop cause i could go on for days! Thank You ESPN and the ESPY’s for such a rad event!!! Next stop……..SUPER BOWL???

Man i feel bad that I haven’t been keeping up with this blog but im still alive and breathing. Its been an insane past month with travel and work but I haven’t forgotten about RADCOLLECTOR!!! Now what i want to know is if my Memory has been recharged? Another reason beyond the fact im a busy beaver is that i had no memory to load pics or videos and although i was told to erase earlier posts I like to keep that as a library of stuff iv’e done. I’ve been at over capacity for several months and although i can load a blog i know dick all about memory etc. so Here we go I will try another attempt at loading some pics. If there is no picture that means im still out of memory….
well GOLY it worked!!! Now lets see if i can load a video???

UH oh…. So do I now have to Blog everyday again???

Well the Cats over at Famous have put a little video together of there recent trip to the Make a Wish Benefit in TEXAS. Houston we have LIFT OFF!!!

you always hear that saying “stop and the smell the roses” or “take it all in”, “isn’t this great?”. Sometimes its not ok to smell the flowers or have the ability to take it all in. Saying “This is good” is more like “This is ok”. Same days same songs same routine. People come and go but mostly they just came and went. Comfort is a sin and sometimes never letting go is holding on for life.The Best times of my life cant be the times i’ve had or those glory years? NO, this needs to be my moment in time. I know more now than I ever have and I keep wishing my mind would say enough is enough and simply START TO FLY. floating like energy is an addiction, you become complacent with the average and settle for whats best instead of what its worth. I feel me, my, mine has a lot to offer and I didn’t see the path I was on making my life any greater. Change is scary and growth is evolution. The funny thing is, it wasn’t a hard decision. Friends are for life and corporations are CORPORATE. I still have a lot of Family i’m leaving behind and i hope they are rooting for me like Im rooting for them. Im getting closer to nature and closer to home. The People who really know me are now the people i’m rolling with for the FUTURE. It’s never fun to say goodbye but it feels so great to Stoke new fires.I am at one with myself and in love with my NATIVES…

Well it has been a minute since I posted anything on here? maybe it was a writers block? or maybe because I had used up all the memory on my word press account? Im not sure what it is but its kinda nice to do a little writing. A bunch of stuff has been going on but most importantly its the weather! Crazy weather is happening all over socal and compound that with all this talk about the Big One coming its a little unsettling to say the least. We have actually done a earthquake test with the kids so they know to run to the doorway in the living room? There is also a possibility of moving the Family back to Vancouver? I really dont like the wet damp weather but talk of earthquakes and record setting 113 degree heat has def. made that idea sound very attractive. I just wanted to put something up here so everyone knows im still breathing…..for now? Fingers crossed the BIG ONE doesn’t come and to all my fellow RAD COLLECTORS I’M Back…………for now. BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???

So I recently went home to vancouver for a mini visit to see the moms and bro and some close friends.Van is cracking and a bunch of my friends are right at the heart of whats hip and fresh up there.One is none other than the President of ALIFE footwear and former GIRL pro Tony Ferguson.I’ve Known Tony for prob 20 years but I wouldn’t say we were super close but we have always had a certain report with each other and have remained buds during that whole time. I’m guaranteed a good belly laugh when we catch up tho and this time was no different! I knew he was involved somehow with the Alife store in Vancouver but I had no idea he was running ALIFE shoe’s! Stoked he has paved his own way and is killing it with his new path in life….EH!!!

So the homie’s from Vancouver are having a screening of there full length movie MACHOTAILDROP here in the southlands at the LA skate/film festival this week! check out the flyer for show times…

TEE OFF!!!

So my good friend Dave England invited me out to the shoot for Weezer’s new Music Video “memories” Featuring the Jackass Crew!!! It seems like every other day I’m getting invited back to the legendary PINK MOTEL POOL and I pray the Invites keep coming! I love that place! If your shooting anything in a pool you better have LORD SALBA in the mix and he was shredding the paint off that pool!!! Jeff Tremaine is the Man behind everything RAD on MTV and he was once again the mastermind behind this shoot throwing the cast members in and out of all the scenes. Im not the strongest pool skater but none the less had a blast carving that place with Wee Man, Steve-O, and Dave England. Dave surprised the hell out of me with his pool skills! He RIPS!! It was also cool to see street dog Greg Lutzka tearing the pool a new arse!! Brian Patch was BLASTING airs like he was on a vert ramp and Nitro Circus stuntman Andy Bell was ripping around the pool on an electric motor bike.The Weezer guys are such cool dudes and one of them was even carving the pool as well!! Im feeling the burn in my legs today but i must say that was the most fun I’ve had on a music video in a long time! thanks again Dave and Jeff and all the cast and skaters. Im just wondering and waiting for the next call to get to go skate that awesome pool…

It seems like Summer has finally decided to arrive here in Los Angeles! Sure there was a little heat wave at the start of june but its halfway through august and the last 2 month’s have been untypically mild to say the least.Our new house has no air-conditioning so we rely on Fans and a nice breeze to keep the house cool. Seeing how I’ve had the Fans Cranked I decided to do a search for cool fans.Nothing beat’s an old school fan and I was very surprised when I Googled Fan pics,retro fan pics,cool fan pics etc. etc. that Air Jordan sneakers would pop up? Now Im a huge fan of MJ and Retro Jordans but how does Google know that???
