Burton unveiled the 2010 US Olympic Snowboard Team uniform at their flagship store in NYC last night. The mellow yet patriotic red, white and blue plaid over denim jacket and pant combo will certainly have every other winter Olympic athlete wondering why the hell they didn’t take up snowboarding instead of whatever lame sport they are doing, while the Gore-Tex fabric should keep the team dry in Vancouver’s notoriously wet, heavy snow. More looks at the uniform after the jump.

So is this going to be made available to the public? Soooooo sweet….

  2. Polaris:

Who let Burton have this contract? What an insult to the athletes that have to wear them and how incredibly selfish.

  3. TahoeBoarder:

The ugliest snowboard jacket and pants I have ever seen.I feel sorry for the snowboarders who have to wear these Goodwill togs. Godawful and downright embarrassing. The U.S. team will look pitiful in these getups.

  4. P. Morgan:

Can the public purchase the jacket? If so where?

  5. What horrible looking snowboard outfits! They look like bums! How embarrassing! Do not let them do the uniforms next time!

  6. They are representing the United States of America not Dogtown! Makes the US look like bums, and even drives home we look like we are in a depression!

  7. RedHots:

This uniform is sweet. Plaid USA colors and primo lookin jeans. This is a typical American classic.
YOu think this uniform sucks? hahaha

Looks like it didn’t bother our USA gold winning snowboarders.

    BOOOOO ya!

  8. Joe Mendez:

USA is the only country that doesnt pay their Olympic Athletes, They should be so lucky to have anyone representing them. Why does it matter what they wear when they bring home Gold. Grow up, this isnt polo or a tea party it is snowboarding.

  9. Maureen:

Love the snowboarding outfits and the only way you can get one is to be on the team; Burton’s said will sell plaid baseball hat and blue coats. I guess they deserve to have something no one else can or will have.

  10. Hast & Hast:

Will SOMEONE please come up with a knock-off version of this so my boys can live a dream.
They LOVE this ALL American Little Bit O Grunge look and they LOVE SHAUN. If a Company could come up with a knock – off ,…They Would Be RICH INSTANTLY.
Everyone is looking for this jacket.. If you find it please let me know..

    Thanks !

In Response to the above post, U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes do get paid some sort of compensation. How much depends on how good you are and where you’re ranked in the World. Atheltes also get bonuses for medaling at various events! And anyone who is a Olympic athlete is also sponsored by someone. So even if the U.S. doesn’t pay Olympic athletes as much as other countries, look up how much Shaun White made last year…. He’s not hurting!

  12. Yea, anyone that can come up with knock off of the Burton snowboarding uniform WILL make a bundle. Keep the demand going!!!

    I want one!
