Today the NYC skate community will be out in full force to celebrate the life of the one and only Harold Hunter. The Harold Hunter Foundation is hosting a special reception at Poppington featuring a screening of Larry Clark’s unreleased documentary about the legend. OG NYC skateboarder Quim Cardona just launched a new webseries “Asphalt NYC” on Network A. Judging from the first episode alone, which tells the story of Quim and his late brother Mike being cast as Telly and Casper in the Movie Kids but not being allowed to take the role by their mother, it’s going to be one of the best original series’ out. Features tons of dope skating too.

Whether you love him or hate him, you definitely can’t front on Ryan Sheckler. He’s one of the most talented skateboarders of his generation and someone who’s managed to leverage that ability to do huge things. Sitting on top of the world at only 23, he’s already been with his first and only shoe sponsor, etnies, for fifteen years. That is some crazy shit! Christian Hosoi made a rare stop in Brooklyn last week to kick it at Skate Night at the House of Vans. In between destroying the pool and hosting a best trick contest, he gave Timbo a rad breakdown on pool skating’s renaissance and why skateboarding is and will always be the most fun thing in the world. Respect the architect.

As you should already know, Stacy Peralta’s epic Bones Brigade documentary is currently appearing in theatres. The release has been supplemented on the product side with everything from Powell & Peralta re-released decks, apparel, and opportunities to meet and skate with the original Bones Brigade.
