Hoods to Woods X Fight the City | NYC Fundraiser

Our friends at the Hoods to Woods Foundation have partnered with lifestyle brand NY Brawlers for a custom boxing glove art show titled “Fight The City” featuring artist from around the world. Part of the proceeds will help fund Hoods to Woods Foundation free outdoor programs to inner city teens. The event takes place tonight at the Times Hotel in NYC from 7p – 10p. SHUT Youngster Complete

The biggest drag with having a baby has got to be the 5 or so years you have to wait for the kid to be able to do anything remotely cool or fun. Stoked | After School with P-Rod and Friends

On Monday, November 7th, Stoked and Mountain Dew are teaming up with Paul Rodriguez, Nigel Sylvester, Alex Corporan, and 5Boro’s Steve Rodriguez and Mark Nardelli for After School with Paul Rodriguez & Friends, an inspirational event for youth in New York City. There will be video screenings, product giveaways, talks by the athletes and veteran NYC skate community members mentioned above, and music by DJ C-Lo. The event is open to youth of all ages at New York City College of Technology in Downtown Brooklyn from 4 to 6 pm.

Stoked x Belleayre Mountain Rail Jam

Our favorite youth organization, Stoked will be sponsoring the annual Belleayre Rail Jam at Belleayre Mountain on Saturday, January 29th from 11:00am-2:00pm. During the day Stoked will be hosting a raffle with prizes including Burton Snowboards, limited edition signed Zoo York decks, and much more goodies. Vans x Yo Gabba Gabba! Shoe Collection

Vans has teamed up with the kids show Yo Gabba Gabba! on a holiday shoe collection for all the little rippers. In support of the collection a series of five original shorts highlighting each of the Gabba Land characters were produced featuring Vans athletes like Bucky Lasek, Christian Hosoi, Alistair Whitton, and more. Our homie and columnist Brian Deka Paupaw’s Hoods to Woods foundation gives kids from Deka’s hood of Bed Stuy, Brooklyn the chance to experience and learn from snowboarding, skateboarding, and art. Recently FlatFitty got involved with the foundation and allowed the kids to design a limited edition Hoods to Woods hat. This edit by Deka and Khalid West gives a very real feel for how rad this unique local Brooklyn movement really is, right down to the surprise visit from fellow Bed Stuy dweller Trevor Andrew.
