Obviously there is a lot of junk on Kickstarter but one rad thing we recently came across is “Finding Joseph I,” a documentary about Bad Brain’s legendary frontman HR. The film needs less than $7,000 to reach its total funding goal of $38,000 within the next 60 hours or else they have to start all over again. Marcelo D2 is a godfather of Brazilian hip hop or “rap nacional” on the same level as Nas is to hip hop here. However, unlike American rappers, he didn’t just get down with skateboarding over the last couple years but has repped it since day one. His latest video, shot and directed by Radcollector familia Gandja Monteiro, features brands like The Hundreds, Diamond, and Supreme as well as a posse of Dead Presidents – inspired skateboarders. Check it out.

The youthful passing of Aussie pro skateboarder Lewis Marnell from complications with Diabetes was one of those things that confirm the old adage of “only the good die young.” In the spirit of Lewis, Ben Harper and the Go Skateboarding Foundation have come together to release a new version of “Jah Work” with the Innocent Criminals with all proceeds going to help Lewis’ family. Enjoy the song above but go buy it on iTunes to support.
