In the latest dose, Tim Brodhagen explores the devastation that New York City’s Rockaway neighborhood is still enduring almost three months after Hurricane Sandy. He also interviews former pro snowboarder Lukas Huffman about his recent documentary “Surfing After Sandy,” which he produced with his brother Jesse. As a Brooklyn based site with a great love for hip hop, Capital Steez’s passing on Christmas Eve has been heavy in our hearts since we heard the news. In some sad news for today, TMZ has reported that Ryan Dunn from Jackass has died in a car crash. It appears that speed and alcohol were factors and the crash also killed a passenger. Our condolences to his family and friends.

In some horrible news for the action sports as well as streetwear and music communities, LRG founder Jonas Bevacqua was found dead in his home in LA today. He was only 34. A visionary that was able to grow the LRG brand to global proportions while keeping it true to it’s roots in skateboarding and music, he will be missed. Our condolences go to his friends and family. Greg Fernandez brings us the sad news today that Hawaiian big wave surfer Sion Milosky has drowned at famed surf spot Mavericks at Half Moon Bay in California. At least he died doing what he loved. Rest in Peace. Read the story here.
