Rad Collector - Skatopia NYC Premiere Gallery
Last Saturday saw the New York City premiere of Skatopia: 88 Acres of Anarchy, the story of Brewce Martin, the self-styled Jim Jones of the skateboard world and his quest to create his own personal skateboarding utopia. One of the craziest stories in skateboarding, Skatopia is a commune of sorts in the Ohio countryside that acts like a beacon to skateboarding’s castaways, who come from far and wide to skate, party, and build what Martin hopes will ultimately be the raddest and biggest free skatepark in the world. Completely even-handed, the film illuminates Martin’s genius as well as exposes some of his madness and is something that really needs to seen to be believed. Just check out some of the photos from the premiere, you’ll see. To peep the trailer go here. Viva Skatopia!

Rad Collector - Homage Bastille Day Gallery
Homage Brooklyn’s hommage français for Bastille Day went off lovely this past Sunday. As Jeff Pang emceed, every grom in BK went balls out for highest ollie, best trick and illest manny while frenchies and yuppies oohed and ahhed, drank Ricard Pastis and tried to avoid getting hit in the head by a skateboard as they played boules. Somehow it all worked out. Peep some photos after the jump. Via KnowMe.
