The Hype BR, Brasil’s leading lifestyle blog featured Brooklyn’s Boundless in their news section today. The Hype BR’s founder Lucas Penido stopped through on a recent visit to NY and chopped it up with Boundless CEO Nick Langella about what’s poppin at the shop. An event that could only truly go down in the heart of Brooklyn, The Afro Punk Festival is set to go off this 4th of July Weekend. Taking over the entire BAM complex off Flatbush Ave, downtown BK, Shut Skateboards, ESPN, Nike SB, Mountain Dew, Frank151, and more are hosting a film festival, skate contest, BMX contest, and mad concerts from July 3rd to 8th. Highlights include a screening of Hood to the Woods, the documentary by Brian Deka Paupaw about finding his way from the streets of Bed-Stuy to the hills of Chile and British Columbia and Living Colour headlining. The Mike Blabac “Blabac Photo: The Art of Skateboard Photography,” and the Blabac Azure Mid NYC release party went down in usual off the hook fashion at the powerHouse arena in DUMBO on Tuesday night. The man himself was in the house with a stellar collection of prints essentially representing the crucial modern history of skateboarding while DC, Homage, Shut, etnies and more threw down 33.8 oz Sapporo’s and a nearly endless stream of asian delights. Ian Gentil Wins NSSA Nationals

Here is a reason to quit surfing – no matter what you do in your life you will never catch up with this kid. Like a true child prodigy, 13 year old Nike 6.0 surfer Ian Gentil just won the Open Boys competition at NSSA Nationals by getting a perfect score for only the third time in NSSA history! Lil homie hit two perfect 10’s for a perfect score of 20, something that has only happened twice before in 31 years. Damn! Peep the steez above.
