As part of their “Legends” series SHUT just released a board with NYC’s first professional street skater, Jeff Pang. A beloved industry figure who has had a major influence on both coasts, Pang’s deck release includes this dope video from Eli Morgan Gesner. Over the last couple years Brazilian artist PIXOTE has become a household name in NYC graffiti, getting up in the most insane locations in the city with his unique pixação style script. This week he released a super limited edition deck series with SHUT and Fool’s Gold transitioning his street art onto two SHUT cruisers. dose delves into the methods behind his madness along with some rad skating from Pat Hoblin and music from Black Atlass. SHUT has just dropped a rad new deck series for October. “Sunsets” consists of five decks in sizes 7.75, 8, 8.125, 8.25, 8.5, with graphics by Eli Gesner featuring full bleed sunsets laid under SHUT New York City skyline typography in five variations. The limited edition release is available now at SHUT Skate Mechanics and SHUT accounts worldwide.

This weekend, just in time for the entire skate industry to drop into NYC for the Maloof Cup, Vans Syndicate is launching a 48 takeover of the SHUT Skate Mechanics shop on Orchard Street in the LES. The takeover will feature an in-store party on Friday and then two days dedicated to Vans Syndicate’s sneakers and deck pack with SHUT founder Rodney Smith. History incarnate yo. Today is Full Bleed Day in NYC, with a legendary lineup of NYC skateboarders and documentarians coming together for a signing at SHUT Skate Mechanics from 4pm to 7pm and then an opening for the book’s gallery show at Milk Studios from 8pm to 11pm.
