As part of its programming, theLevi’s® Film Workshop celebrates various cultural forms that have emanated from underground subcultures, including not only graffiti and street art but also skateboarding, a sport that has grown from the streets of Southern California to become a global, mainstream phenomenon.
This month the Workshop will celebrate the work of GIRL Skateboards, a prominent player in creating some of the most memorable skate videos from the past decade including “Mouse” and “Yeah Right!” Their latest film, “Unbeleafable,” will be the newest addition to this family. Filmed on location in Santa Clarita, CA, “Unbeleafable” was shot using two RED One MX cameras and two Phantom 65-Z3D cameras, both configured for 3D filming and provided by Panavision and Abelcine, respectively.

The premiere event will include a tribute to the past decade of GIRL’s cinematic skate works, including classics and rarities from the brand’s archive. Following the films, there will be a Q&A session with Ty Evans and the pro skaters from “Unbeleafable.” The evening will conclude with an after party on the rooftop of the Downtown Independent. “Unbeleafable” will be included on a forthcoming GIRL Skateboards DVD.
