Hypnotic Record

Kansas City, MO skate shop Ride Four Ever has just dropped an interesting project with Hypnotic Record, a collection of decks, tee’s, wheels, stickers, and a video based on the crazy ads that were found in the back of comic books back in the day. Artist Brandon Wilson created the collection which can be seen after the jump.

Grand Island’s pride and joy, Silo is set to drop an ill collabo truck with Thunder this Friday. coming in 2 sizes, the 145 low and the 147 hi 2, the trucks feature a forged baseplate and hollow point kingpin, and come in polished hanger and black anodized. Supra Opens Store in NYC

Dave’s Wear House is Open

Our homie & NYC skate guru Dave Ortiz is back in the game strong with a brand new retail shop appropriately named Dave’s Wear House. We stopped by the Chinatown shop where Dave and Kevin gave us a tour of the new space and all the custom fixtures. These guys really paid a close attention to detail and we have to say the spot looks dope! If you’re in the area go check it out at 123 Baxter Street between Canal and Hester. Expect to hear more on the store soon and peep some pics of the joint after the jump.

510 Skateboarding in Berkeley, California is opening up a pop up shop with Vans tomorrow for Max Schaaf’s legends release and as part of the deal they got a super limited run of the Max Schaaf 4Q Syndicate shoe from 2008. Akomplice x MF Doom | Mystery Box

Akomplice and MF Doom have come together to release one of the most innovative and intriguing collabs that is being kept a mystery. Showcased is a nailed shut wood crate, featuring AK/ DOOM logo artwork inscribed on its lid. Accompanying the mysterious box is a custom designed steel crowbar, thoughtfully given as a tool to pry the crate open. The project will only be available to purchase for a 24-hour window on June 8th starting at 9am PST available exclusively at the Akomplice Online Store. Vans Syndicate x SHUT Shop Takeover

This weekend, just in time for the entire skate industry to drop into NYC for the Maloof Cup, Vans Syndicate is launching a 48 takeover of the SHUT Skate Mechanics shop on Orchard Street in the LES. The takeover will feature an in-store party on Friday and then two days dedicated to Vans Syndicate’s sneakers and deck pack with SHUT founder Rodney Smith. History incarnate yo.
