etnies | Chris Joslin Welcome Edit

06 October 2014, 11.17 | Posted in Skateboarding, team, videos | No comments »

Nowadays the “welcome” edit has become an essential part of any company adding personnel to their team but often comes from old pieced-together footage that while rad, doesn’t do much more than provide some visuals for the press release. Not Chris Joslin’s welcome edit for etnies! This kid went balls to the wall for a month to put out a full part that many vets would be lucky to pull off. If this doesn’t make you want to go out and skate right now, we don’t know what will.

Now This is a Freestyle: AFRO

03 October 2014, 10.27 | Posted in Music | 1 comment »

We’ve been a fan of RA the Rugged man since wayyy back and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to believe in anyone he co-signs for. But he’s got something extra special on his hands with 17 year old LA rapper AFRO who bangs out a ill freestyle like its nothing in this video. Every other rapper that claims to freestyle just needs to quit already, this is how it used to be done and if you don’t know go look up Supernatural. Also props to this young kind for recognizing RA’s realness. This shit is dope!

Nike SB Quits Snowboarding

26 September 2014, 10.10 | Posted in business, snowboarding | 2 comments »

Somebody get Mike Michalchuk on the phone. According to an article on and other sources Nike SB has officially thrown in the towel on snowboarding (and skiing too but who cares) meaning a major squad of riders including Sage Kotsenburg, Danny Kass, Halldor Helgason, Nico Muller, Louie Vito, Jed Anderson and more are soon to be without a major sponsor. If you’ve been following this thing called snowboarding for a while, it’s the second time that Nike has gone in and pulled out of snowboarding, the first time being with ACG in the early 2000’s (with Michalchuk as the poster boy). In the end its all about money with Nike, so the real question is whether anyone other than rappers who like to wear giant sneakers even care. Let us know your thoughts.

Colorado Governor Campaign Rap Feat Wyclef

26 September 2014, 09.45 | Posted in craze, Music, politics, weed | No comments »

Ok so it’s hard to watch this with a straight face because well, it’s an acoustic guitar driven rap song by some old dude named Mike Dunafon with ridiculous ad-libs by none other than Wyclef Jean. On the flip side, Dunafon is a bonafide candidate for the Governor of Colorado who wants to keep weed legal, reduce the growing police state and keep big money out of politics. That all being said this may be the hardest “Trap” song out right now! America is crazy!
