SHUT, Zoo York, and How to Make it in America’s creative director Eli Morgan Gesner aka Enoch got together with Surf Rx’s Jeff ‘DOC’ Lausch for an old fashioned spin art session, this time using surfboards as the canvas. No word on whether these boards will be made available but they are rad as hell!

The creative force behind Zoo York and SHUT and OG New Yorker, Eli Gesner just did a rad interview with Karmaloop.TV. If you aren’t up on your east coast skate history, this is a good place to drop in. Karmaloop might want to do some research too, considering they spelled his name wrong in the video title.

There is definitely alot of hype around “How to Make it in America,” HBO’s new downtown NYC-based series. Whether the show makes it or not remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, they really went the extra mile in the marketing. Aside from the Green Lantern mixtape and the Alife hats, they’ve gone so far as to produce the pro model deck of the skateboarder character Wilfredo Gomez and are selling it on Since Javier Nunez plays the yet-to-appear character, it only makes sense that Shut made the decks. There’s another Shut connection too, Creative Director Eli Gesner is a consultant. Peep his credit after the jump.

Rad Collector - Shut Wallpaper Series Behind The Scenes
We brought you the Shut Wallpaper Pro Series boards last week, now we bring you a closer look at how they were created. Far from some photoshop/illustrator bullshit, Eli Gesner created each of the decks by painstakingly creating mock antique walls and fixtures which he then photographed for the final graphic. That’s real. More pics of the creation of the Felix Arguelles board after the jump.
