As part of their seemingly endless celebration of their 30th year G-Shock is releasing a second collabo watch with New Era. The New Era x G-Shock GA110NE-9A has Magnetic Resist technology to guarantee ongoing accuracy, Auto LED Light with Afterglow, 48-city World Time, 1/1000th Second Stopwatch, Countdown Timer and 5 daily Alarms with Snooze Alarm, and comes packaged in a box that looks like a hat. The color scheme, of course, matches the New Era sticker that comes on every hat. Look for it to hit stores in November.

G-Shock went extra big for their 30th anniversary in NYC last Thursday with their Shock the World event at Basketball City. In between appearances by a cast of characters including Brooklyn Nets Brooke Lopez and Paul Pierce, model Jessica Stam, actor James Marsden and several G-Shock Japanese executives, Timbo caught up with Stevie Williams and Louie Vito to talk about working with the most recognizable watch brand in the world. After getting first look at Louie’s new signature G-Shock 6900, everyone got treated to a full blowout performance from Yelawolf and Eminem. Now that’s how you throw a party! Tech specs for the GLX150X-7 include: easy to read tide/moon data graph with contrasting LCD, 200M water resistance, auto super illuminator LED with flash alert, world time (29TZ/48 cities), two multi-function alarms and one snooze alarm, 1/100th second stopwatch with auto-start, countdown timer, 12/24 hr formats, and mute function. “1987” by Casio G-Shock, is an urban retro-style video shot on the streets of New York City, the home of BMX icon Nigel Sylvester. The video, titled 1987 the year Nigel was born, celebrates a collaborative timepiece between Casio G-Shock and Nigel. As an adult, Nigel looks back on his year of birth as a time of great creative freedom and experimentation. The film was created to capture that spirit.
